I have had a passion for photography for many years. Of course in the beginning I did not know what I did not know. But over the past 4 years, I have buckled down and photography has become an obsession for me. I am either out shooting, planning to go out shooting, processing images in photoshop or talking about photography in one sense or another. I think you have to have an incredible kind and forgiving family when you are a photographer. Who else wants to get up before sunrise while on vacation, or wants to stand in one spot waiting for the perfect moment to shoot a sunset. Sometimes standing there for 90 minutes or more. I find myself at dinner telling my husband about the Fstop I used or the shutter speed I chose and realize I might as well be speaking another language.

I read everything I can get my hands on, amassing quite a collection of photography resources. I have taken countless seminars, online courses, and attended talks to learn from those who have developed a skill I was looking to learn. I read photography blogs consistently and I constantly look at the work of others to learn how far my own work can go, and what I need to do to get there.

I belong to the Photographic Society of America, and the Greater Lynn Photographic Association and the Merrimack Valley Camera Club. I have learned so much from fellow photographers who have been generous with their time and sharing their expertise and tips.

High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR) is my favorite style of photography. I love the detail I am able to capture in my images when I shoot HDR.
